Yoga means 'union' is sanskrit. While there are no physical postures in laughter yoga we are practicing uniting with our natural state of joy through laughter. When we laugh the body releases endorphins; elevating our mood, relaxing our bodies and strengthening our minds. On the other hand, stress triggers the release of adrenaline and cortisol - chemicals that cause imbalance and disease. When we practice laughter yoga we use fun exercises to stimulate fake laughter that often turns into real laughter. The good news is that the brain doesn't know the difference between fake laughter and real laughter. Ha ha ha. The benefits of laughter (fake or real)  are increased blood circulation, oxygenation and immune enhancement. Laughter eases fear and anxiety, increases creativity, alertness and memory, uplifts the mood and increases strength and resilience in challenging situations.

Magic and play re-emerge in our lives.
